1. Who we are
DogTrain is an independent publisher of Android apps distributed through Google Play. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at any time by email at android@dogtrain.store or by phone on +92 339 1203996.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to our website and to every app we publish that links to it. If an app handles data in a way not described here, we will add an app-specific section to this policy before that app is released, and the app’s Google Play Data safety section will match it.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, the content of your message and any attachments (for example, screenshots or device details for a bug report).
Information stored on your device
Our apps are designed to keep your information on your phone. Things you add in an app, such as pet profiles, training progress, reminders, notes and photos, are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us, unless an app clearly asks you to turn on a feature that needs to send data (such as cloud backup) and you choose to use it. If you use Android’s built-in backup, Android may back up app data to your Google account under Google’s terms.
App permissions
Our apps ask only for the permissions their features need. For example, an app may ask to send notifications for reminders, or to use your camera or photos so you can add a picture of your pet. You can allow or deny permissions, and change them at any time in your phone’s settings.
Diagnostic and usage information
To fix crashes and improve performance, an app may collect diagnostic information such as crash logs, app version, device model and Android version, and basic information about how app features are used. We use this information in aggregate or in a form that does not directly identify you. If an app uses a third-party service to do this, we will name that service in this policy and in the app’s Google Play Data safety section before the app is released.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions in our apps are processed by Google Play. We receive information needed to confirm and manage your purchase, such as an order number, the product purchased, the purchase date and subscription status. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Advertising
If an app shows ads, the advertising provider may collect device information such as your Android advertising ID to show and measure ads. We will name the provider in this policy and tell you in the app before any ads are shown. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your phone’s settings.
Our website
Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web servers, our hosting provider automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to keep the site secure and working. Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
4. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve our apps and website
- To respond to your questions, support requests and feedback
- To diagnose and fix bugs and crashes
- To confirm and manage purchases and subscriptions
- To keep our Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse
- To comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use personal data for purposes that are unrelated to the reasons we collected it.
5. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, we rely on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the app or service you asked for), our legitimate interests (to keep our Services secure, fix problems and improve them, balanced against your rights), your consent (where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time) and compliance with legal obligations.
6. How we share information
We share personal data only in these situations:
- Service providers. Companies that host our website and email, or that provide services our apps rely on, process data on our behalf and only for those purposes.
- Google Play. Google distributes our apps and processes purchases under its own privacy policy and terms.
- Legal requirements. When we must do so to comply with the law, respond to valid legal requests or protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or ourselves.
- Business transfers. If our apps or business are sold or transferred, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than the one you live in. When this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law to protect your data.
8. Data retention
- Data on your device stays there until you delete it in the app, clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app.
- Support emails are kept for as long as we need them to help you, and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we can follow up on repeat issues. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Purchase records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require.
- Website server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. You can also control app permissions and your advertising ID in your phone’s settings.
To make a request, email android@dogtrain.store with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your data at any time, without having the app installed. See our Account & Data Deletion page for the steps and for details of any data we must keep.
11. Children’s privacy
Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us at android@dogtrain.store and we will delete it.
12. Security
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Our website is served over HTTPS, and any data our apps send over the internet is encrypted in transit. Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to help you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly on any issue.
13. Third-party links and services
Our Services may link to websites and services we do not operate, such as Google Play. Their own privacy policies apply to how they handle your information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we release a new app. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, tell you on our website or in the app.
